Very powerful, also with the off line feature. Btw, for western people, its also necessary the PINYIN phonetic sentence. The website do not have either. But google translator has. Come on, improve it, ADD PINYIN!! (Actually google translator is better!!)

The last version is not working with iOS 8.1.2

For about $3 I bought the off line translation. Only two months later having to renew that subscription is ridiculous.

Google Translate is awesome, but if you are just translating English to Mandarin and vice-versa, this app is superior. I recommend running both.

The camera feature works really well.

Image Swipe Translation: Slower & Main menu options remain open, blocking access to image swipe gallery/photo menu options at bottom of screen.

The former app wasnt too bad but later updates have neutered this app to the point where there are better free apps. So many features were removed in the last release. The OCR is gone which was useful in grocery stores and restaurants. I was hoping for improvements, not deletions. Now its not worth it despite being free.

Please add Pinyin! This is a great app for Chinese to English translation, but English to Chinese doesnt work well for non-native speakers because we cant read the characters. If this had Pinyin, it would be well worth 5 stars.

Works well in China. Translation is almost perfect. Helped me a lot in China for business translations.

I use this Ap primarily to translate my English to Chinese for restaurants and store purchases in mainland China. My Chinese counterparts always understand. Furthermore you turn it sideways and the Chinese words fill the screen in huge font easily read from 2 meters away. It simply blows my mind. It has been 100% successful except for some drug store pharmaceuticals.

Very good app with wifi. I bought the offline packs but does not work and no way to report the bug in English. Expensive add-on that didnt work offline.

Offline translation packs use to be free and now they have an expiry date. App is charging money to download offline translation packs now with the new app update. App is also full of annoying popup banners and annoying advertisements. There soany other better choices on the App Store ! I suggest to look else where !
